After Army Career Gilbert took a year to earn his Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Science 2017 from Texas A&M (while remaining active in the National Guard Reserves Special Forces) and was nearing completion of his Master of Business Administration & Management Information of Technology from Texas Tech.

Children, Nathan & Madeline Mary Garcia, Parents, Jose and Edith Garcia; his sister, Jocelyn Garcia, brother-in-law, Michael Ponciano, nephews Matthew and Jo-ell; brother, Joe Garcia, sister-in-law, Maria; nieces, Lysette, Arielle, Alyssa, Aliah; nephews Joe, Jr., and Josiah; younger brother Anthony, and Amalia Sanchez, former wife and mother of his children.

 

SGT. First Class Gilbert Garcia, unfortunately took his own life on February 19, 2021 and entered Fiddler’s Green to join his fallen brother’s. He is profoundly missed.
